Insta Venus in Bronze

Inspired by Botticelli and our current addiction to self imagine perpetuated by social media. Bronze mirrors remove imperfections, the Venus takes full advantage of this while she checks her hair, ignoring the refractions on the edge of it, and unevenness and cracks in the frame.

Done with a pallet knife primarily, I just wanted to see where the paint would take me, without a particular plan, and this was the result- a tunnel of waves, leading to a stormy centre.
