A strong figure climbs a hill, the journey of life, whilst letting go of moments in the past depicted in the form of photographs, tissue leaflets that fly away in the wind. Only now she has let go can she truly be free.
 
 

Wild Swim

Dimensions: 97 cm x 72.5 cm Framed: black wood

This encapsulates my love for wild swimming, and how figures under water appear like elongated ghosts, pale, and reaching for the surface, through all the murky patches of emerald green, fragmented water.

 

Balancing Act

Frame: black wood

An experimentation with pattern and textures, using a roller to paint the silk, with blocked out shapes. A woman walks down a gentle downward incline, treading carefully to avoid slipping into the chaos beneath her feet. But she is sure footed, we can be confident she will make it.
